Harmony Ridge Lodge is at the 3700 foot elevation, and adjacent to the Tahoe National Forest – home to many species of trees, birds, and pine-forest animals. Excellent mountain biking and hiking trails start at our front door.

Our new spacious lodge is adjacent to popular mountain biking trails including the Pioneer trail, the South Yuba trail and many more. We have hosted several northern CA mountain biking clubs for weekend getaways, and would love to invite your group to come and experience what our unique lodge has to offer.

South Yuba River State Park
A few minutes away by car is the popular and pristine recreation area called the South Yuba River State Park, with a number of great trails, swimming and fishing holes. You can spend the day hiking, picnicking or just relaxing at Edwards’ Crossing, Hoyt’s Crossing, Purdon’s Crossing, 49 Bridge, Jones’ Bar, or another perfect clearing you discover for yourself. South Yuba River State Park also features wheelchair access to the wilderness, along the Independence Trail.

A Year-Round Commune with Nature
Each season beckons you to explore nature’s gifts. Treat your senses to the color and fragrance of alpine flowers and trees. Spring is heralded by a profusion of wildflowers painting the countryside in pastels. Summer is an ideal time to splash under cool waterfalls and swim or tube in the rapids of the South Yuba. Fall gilds the forest’s trees with vibrant shades of yellow and orange. Winter blows in its blanket of snow, and a soothing whoosh of wind through the canopy of tall pines. Nearby Civilization – The Historic Towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley
Nevada City is a restoration of an authentic 1800’s gold country foothill town. Its downtown district is on the National Register of Historic Places. Five miles from Harmony Ridge Lodge, Nevada City features excellent restaurants, friendly ambiance, antique shops, bookstores, and the Historic Nevada Theater.

Grass Valley is a vibrant Sierra town, where the peaceful charm of the past coexists with the bustle of the present. Grass Valley offers the visitor many diversions, including its own Historic District, excellent restaurants, the Center for the Arts, concerts, shopping, a seasonal farmer’s market, and a plethora of events at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Enjoy a leisurely walk around town, and digest a piece of Gold Country history in the local landscape.
